Once you\u2019ve installed and activated the plugin, there is now a new options underneath the settings. Now go to Settings \u00bb WP Mail SMTP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Setting Up WP Mail SMTP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
This will open now the plugin settings page that looks something like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now fill the following fields carefully taking this into account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- From Email<\/strong> – Enter the email you wish to send FROM<\/li>
- Force From Email<\/strong> – Check this box<\/li>
- From Name<\/strong> – Enter a name you’d like to appear as being sent FROM<\/li>
- Force From Name<\/strong> – Check this if you wish to force the FROM name<\/li>
- Mailer<\/strong> – Choose ‘Other SMTP’<\/li>
- Return Path<\/strong> – Check this box<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Now that you\u2019ve opted Other SMTP as your mailer, a new section will appear named Other SMTP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Configuring \u201cOther SMTP\u201d Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here now enter the specific details to connect your WordPress site to your email provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Encryption<\/strong> – Use SSL encryption<\/li>
- SMTP Port <\/strong>– 465<\/li>
- Username<\/strong> – Enter email address<\/li>
- Password<\/strong> – Enter email address password<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Click the Save Settings<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your form will now send FROM the email you entered above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plugin mentions that you should add the following lines to your wp-config.php file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
define( 'WPMS_ON', true );<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
define( 'WPMS_SMTP_PASS', 'your_password' );<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Do not add these. Adding these will prevent the plugin from sending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Sending a Test Email<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now that all of your SMTP settings are in place, the next step is to make sure everything is working correctly. Now, click on the \u2018Email Test\u2019<\/strong> tab on WP Mail SMTP\u2019s settings page to test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the testing mail purpose, please enter the email address that you have access to in the \u2018Send To\u2019<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
